48 : little lion man

So when we first met Ted, he was the surprise pup to an 11-year old mother. He was born on Christmas Day, and the farmer who owned his mother had no time for training and looking after a small puppy. He's 80 and the loveliest man, but this bundle of fluff was really just an inconvenience.
It was a no-brainer that we took him home with us.

For the first few weeks, he was too terrified to leave the safety of his crate. I spent time chatting to him, and the nickname "Teddy Bear" came about.
Nowadays, he doesn't leave my brother's side and he responds to "Ted" or "Bear".
But the fact that his full name is Teddy Bear is possibly my family's best guarded secret.
